The “Bosswood Tree Initiative”, or BTI, is a grass roots push to plant trees in needed areas, starting with the Columbus metropolitan area and lending a hand elsewhere if capable!
BTI is staging an event for Arbor Day 2013! The event will be held on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 of 2013. The festival kicks-off on Friday evening with music from local bands to be performed at The Scarlet and Grey Cafe (2203 N High St) and ends Saturday evening with another concert at the Cafe. Tree planting will take place on Saturday. The entire event will be known as “BOSSWOODSTOCK”.
We have talked with Columbus Recreation and Parks and they have directed us to Nelson Park
for a primary location. Nelson Park has had over 40 large shade trees cut down from the Emerald Ash Borer damage they suffered. There are many deserving areas. We hope to make a positive future impact, and it all starts with one tree!
We would love your help! Please plant a tree with us!
